New store to open soon, the old store is now closed, we couldn't stop the bulldozer. That's the unfortunate price of progress. Short History of the Store:

The store was built (by the Hansards) in the early 1900's, to serve travellers between Buford and Cumming, and originally housed the Nettie, Georgia Post Office. The new proprietor (since fall of 1998) Porter Downey is trying to re-establish the flavor and feel of an old time country store. Thus, the name Old Nettie, Georgia General Store*,  So, don't expect the ambiance of a brand new MiniMart, this ain't it!  Y'all Come!
